About our Trauma Informed Approach
Many people ask the question, What does Trauma-Informed mean? Providing trauma-informed care means that we are trained and able to recognize trauma in others, recognize behaviors and symptoms of trauma that may be a result of an experience, and create a welcoming environment where you are treated with respect and kindness to aid in trauma recovery.
At Resilient Roots Therapy, we want to create a safe environment to help you unpack the trauma you may be carrying. This does not mean that you have to have trauma to engage in services with us, but rather if you did we could meet you there.

(For providers only) Our Clinician Christine Russo is an EMDRIA approved Consultant In Training (CIT). Providing low cost consultation for clinicians working toward EMDR Certification.
Body Neutrality
At Resilient Roots Therapy, we believe that an individual’s size and/or shape does not depict health. We work from a body-neutral stance to help tackle body image anxiety, body dysmorphia, and disordered eating. It is a way to limit the intrusive thoughts about your body that get in the way of you living your life!
Treatment for All
It is of utter importance to us that everyone has access to our services. Creating a safe space so that each individual feels respected and comfortable unpacking what they need is something that we do not take lightly. We stand with the black and BIPOC community, LGBTTQQIAPD+, and the marginalized and at-risk to stand against injustice and racism.
